The Morgan County Land Reutilization Corporation (Land Bank) works to address vacant, abandoned, and tax-delinquent properties throughout the county. Its mission is to return these properties to productive use in a manner that supports community stability and long-term development.
The Land Bank partners with local governments, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to improve housing conditions and reduce blight.

The Morgan County Land Reutilization Corporation operates pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1724 and acquires property for the purpose of returning vacant, abandoned, and tax-delinquent properties to productive use.
Submission of an application to acquire property does not guarantee purchase or transfer of the property. All applications are reviewed in accordance with the Land Bank’s policies and mission.

The Land Bank collaborates with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and participates in state-funded initiatives aimed at improving housing and neighborhood conditions.
Current efforts include residential redevelopment projects and strategic reuse of vacant properties.
The first home completed in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, made possible through funding from the Welcome Home Ohio program. This project reflects the Land Bank’s mission to return vacant properties to productive use and support homeownership opportunities in the community.
